PRESIDENT OF SOUTH AFRICA AND ANAND SHARMA TO INTERACT WITH INDIAN INDUSTRY ON JUNE 3 IN MUMBAI

The President of South Africa, Mr. Jacob Gedleyihlekisa Zuma and Shri Anand Sharma, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, will jointly interact with the Indian Industry in Mumbai on 3rd June, 2010. During the event, CEOs Forum will be re-launched and the necessary terms of reference will be signed by the two chairs of the Forum. The event is being organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
The South African President will be in India on a State visit from 2nd to 4th June, 2010, with a high-level delegation consisting of 100 CEOs and eight Cabinet Ministers.
A Business Session on “Doing Business with South Africa” is being organized on 4th June in New Delhi jointly by FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry); CII (Confederation of Indian Industry); BUSA (Business Unity South Africa); and ASSOCHAM (Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry).
The business sessions will comprise of various presentations like – Opportunities in South Africa; Nuts & Bolts of Doing Business with South Africa; South Africa: A Gateway to Sub-Saharan Africa by BUSA and Investment Opportunities in India by IBEF (India Brand Equity Foundation).
This would be followed by an interactive session with the Indian Industry to be addressed by the President of South Africa where Shri Anand Sharma will also address. Dr. Rob Davies, the Minister of Trade and Commerce, Republic of South Africa, will also address on the occasion.
