• Matters relating to Projects Export Promotion Council(PEPC).
• Analysis/examination of the MAI/MDA proposals received from the above-mentioned 3 Councils under the Division to promote India’s exports of telecom equipment’s & services; project exports and service sector export.

• Examination of the pre- Budget proposals/suggestions for Union Budget pertaining to the above-mentioned 3 Councils.
• Handling miscellaneous proposals of the Councils

Project Exports Promotion Council of India (PEPC) is an export promotion council set up by the Government of India in 1984 (as Overseas Construction Council of India). PEPC in line with the Foreign Trade Policy of the Government (of India) not only undertakes the necessary export promotion initiatives but also provides necessary technical information, guidance and support to Indian Civil and Engineering (EPC) construction including process engineering contractors and consultants – in public or private sector – to set up overseas projects in any of the following modules of engineering service: –

• Civil construction (structures/infrastructure)
• Turnkey
• Process and engineering consultancy services
• Project construction items (excluding steel and cement) / project goods

• Matters relating to Telecom Equipment & Services Export Promotion Council(TEPC).
• Analysis/examination of the MAI/MDA proposals received from the above-mentioned 3 Councils under the Division to promote India’s exports of telecom equipment’s & services; project exports and service sector export.
• Examination of the Outcome report of the export promotion activities done by the Councils.
• Examination of the pre- Budget proposals/suggestions for Union Budget pertaining to the above-mentioned Councils.
• Handling miscellaneous proposals of the Councils
• PMO references, VIP references, Court Cases, RTI applications, Parliament Questions.

The council undertakes several activities aimed at export promotion such as Commissioning of Studies to find potential markets, holding of National/International Seminars and facilitating participation of exporters in various overseas exhibitions. The council also disseminates trade related data to its members. The council makes various recommendations to the Government for making necessary changes in various policies and procedures for promotion of Exports and Services.

SEPC India is involved in hosting/guiding exporters for trade promotion events. The events are organized under the schemes in DOC for this purpose. EP (Services)

provides the requisite assistance, apart from guiding the council to focus on markets where export potential is identified as per discussion in Dept. of Commerce
